
The Transition: Photo to Video
Instagram is constantly changing. Especially with new apps on the uprise alike TikTok, Instagram is forced to adapt their market style from a predominantly photo sharing service into a photo/video service. The change came with Instagram's implementation of its new program "Insta Reels". Reels mimic the same functionality as TikTok videos; however, Instagram offers this to act as a competitor to the up and coming company. ​

According to a Washington Post Article, "Big Instagram and TikTok changes...", Instagram is increasing their length of their videos to combat with TikTok's new algorithm and growing audience. However, a downfall in this change is that users will start seeing less of their friends and more people from various audiences. Furthermore, this could assist with growth factors of an average user which has always been one of Instagram's downfall!
